Do It Yourself!
Просмотров 302 месяца назад
The more you can do by yourself, the less amount of taxes you pay. Also doing things yourself can reduce your need for income. If you have family and friends that can help with renovations or other tasks, you can share efforts instead of exchanging government issued fiat currencies. Corporations are colluding with governments to make it harder and impossible for you to do things yourself. Sorry...

Is taxation theft?
Просмотров 502 месяца назад
A lot of people have come across the meme "taxation is theft", is it really though? When you use and live in the state system, should you obey by their rules? What gives you the right to break their rules? If we truly want to build freedom, we must start by adopting our own systems for decentralized identity (DID) and free money (Bitcoin).

    Thanks for this! But if you buy land, who has said that you own that land? And who ultimately owns it? It's turtles all the way down....

    • @sondreb
      @sondreb 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the feedback! It all comes down to what the society deems as acceptable rules for who owns land, combined with your ability to protect it according to your own opinions of what constitutes property and owned land. There are no objective truth on this topic, take for example the question on how long should it take for land to go back to nature when it has been abandoned (without previous person who held a claim announcing publicly he is abandoning it or has died). So what is needed, is to have a big piece of land and divide up ownership to the community so there are many humans that hold claims to the land within the region. That makes it harder for anyone to take it (steal it).

    • @sondreb
      @sondreb 2 месяца назад

      To clarify even more: If you're alone in the world you go into the forest and you settle. You can decide that you own that land. Then another human is born (or joins you) you will need to establish rules, any organization more than one person requires rules, explicit or implicit. I'm planning a video in the future on rules that will explain this a bit more.

    This man has just argued for open borders. You do not have the right to roam wherever you want in the World. If everyone took that up, as much of the young male population of the global South is trying to do the result will be societal collapse of the "hotspot" target countries that the majority choose to head for. This is pie-in-the-sky libertarian nonsense. Nice idea but it is unworkable for a planet whose human population has shot through 8 billion.

    • @sondreb
      @sondreb 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for feedback! Borders is just a mental construct that doesn't exists in the real world. There is a lot more land on this Earth than people can maintain and use for productive purposes. If you can't practically protect and maintain your land, you objectively have very little claim to it, from the point of nature and animal behavior. In human society, we have made it possible to externalize the cost of protecting land by having police and military that enforces property rights, even if land is unused, unproductive and for all practical purposes, abandoned by the original claimer. Most people with productive forest, doesn't mind animals (including humans) roaming through their forests. If you own a forest and don't want animals (and humans) on it, you have to fence it in and pay the cost for the maintenance. You should obviously be free to do so on your own private land. Do not ask me to pay police and security to protect your property, that's not very nice. Liberstad is a free city and it's partially protected and exclusion is enforced in the city center. I'm pretty sure you don't want to pay for that security, right? So why should I pay for "border" security that the state has made? Open borders are not the same as free roaming on private property. Private property is not divided by borders.

    i believe every thinking person has these same thoughts as which you discuss/comment ... i have come to this conclusion of the relationship of the individual and community/society... a person/individual is unique BUT a person is the product of community (a person is the result of a man and a woman "joined", a person is nurtured by family and then the community. a person's language, basic knowledge, health is nurtured by community ... BUT still a person is unique and contrives unique knowledge and ideas which contribute to the betterment of the self and the community... thus in all manner, the individual has basic obligation/debt to community AND the community's interest is to encourage and enable the individual/person in order to benefit from the individual/person efforts and ideas... the balance of that relationship is based on the society in which the community and individual exist in... it is in the interest of the individual and the community to contribute to that growth... thus taxes or "forced contribution" as well as allegiance of the community to the individual and the allegiance of the individual to the community should be mutual... this lesson should be included within the nurturing stage/education of the individual and enshrined within the community in order to have mutual voluntary compliance from the community and the individual...

    • @sondreb
      @sondreb 2 месяца назад

      Thank you for the comment! We are all shaped by our community and society, for better and for worse. To change the conditioning from our upbringing and adult life, can be a challenge. Most people grow up in a statist society and it's not enough to just move somewhere there is more freedom, it takes time to adopt to that freedom.

    • @superman9772
      @superman9772 2 месяца назад

      @@sondreb yes, i agree ... i was born and raised in the Sonoran Desert near the intersection of El Camino del Diablo and the Dixie Overland Trail in the USA. .. as a child, i could walk through 2 countries (US and Mexico), 4 states, (Arizona, California, Sonora, and Baja California) and 4 nations (US, Mexico, Cocopan, and Quechan) each of those different nations had many persons from different cultures, societies, languages, and customs... and thus a "mixed" culture that is called "on the border culture" developed... so now, a person can experience Chinese New Year with Mexican Mariachi music (which is a variant of Polish Polka music) and Azteca symbols and characters while eating and drinking Basque food and wine and all of the celebration being sponsored by Italian and German merchants and businesses . . the Christian celebration of Easter is definitely observed very differently by the various cultures... during the WW2, some of the German and Italians prisoners of war had integrated into the local towns by employment and marriage and brought with them their own skills, methods, customs and traditions and these are showcased during fairs and local markets as well as at local farms, businesses and skilled services/production... if one travels from that area and then goes to a place called Quartzside, Arizona in the USA, then one will find many thousands of "individualists"/nomads that rendezvous/come together in the arid desert public lands during the Autumn and Winter months.. where i live now, in the US, the region/area is called the American Rhineland because of the German culture and the resemblance of the Missouri River Valley to the Rhine River Valley... anyway, freedom is a difficult term to define ( in American English) and thus, maybe, the simplest American English phrase is from a "country song" by Kris Kristofferson called "me and bobby mcgree" ... "Freedom is just another word for nothin' left to lose. Nothin', don't mean nothin (hon)' if it ain't free". which means if one attempts to define freedom or any term too precisely then one would "lose their mind" and truly be free... and thus my belief is that too much analysis of subjective terms, phrases, concepts and ideals is "turtles all the way down"... there is always a fine line between inner wisdom and insanity

    • @Querens
      @Querens 2 месяца назад

      freedom is absence of violence. The less violence you receive, the freer you are. It's that simple. Precisely what violence is you can define in rules of your specific community. Completely free one can be on an island with no other human beings.@@superman9772

    a very interesting question "what would i do differently ?" ... every choice in life has costs... i would make all the same "life choices" that i has made in my past... BUT, there are many instances in my life in which i could have treated other persons better...(i should have been more polite/thoughtful of other persons emotions and feelings)...

      I like the idea from the book, The Egg, a very short book that explains how reincarnation is about a single soul that experiences all humans. You are me, and I'm you, the same entity has done all the harm to others, and all good. This makes me always think that my acts towards others, is truly in essence, acts against myself. So I try my best to always be polite, kind, helpful and friendly with everyone. I know there are things I'd do differently if I could do them again, but I have no regrets in life. I think that's a good attitude towards life, to not have regrets. If there are things undone in life, just go an do them now. Thanks!

    It's not a theft! It's a robbery. You can't fully own the land anywhere in the world, you sort of own it but stop paying taxes for it and you will find out

    • @sondreb
      @sondreb 2 месяца назад

      These days there are taxes on everything, so there is many nuances to this topic. Property tax is pure evil. If we only consider tax on trade using government issued fiat, I think that's not really theft or robbery, they made the money, they made the rules. There are benefits from interacting in an existing economy and that has a cost, which in most statist economies, comes in the form of taxes. If you and me trade directly together, there is nothing to find out other than realizing that the fear, was just a fear and doesn't manifest in any real problems. If you incorporate with the state a corporation and you don't pay taxes, you'll get in trouble. Thanks for the comment!

    • @Querens
      @Querens 2 месяца назад

      We can trade as much as we want but it doesn't prevent the government from coming one day and ask about taxes on trades we did. Happens all the time. It happened in Israel for example with kibbutzes, those kibbutzes were paying some sort of general tax on land and nothing on top of it and been trading inside with no taxes, but then the government came and forced them to pay for every single trade they are doing inside@@sondreb
